Overview
Montlor ("Montlor," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at montlor.com (the "Site") and a related client portal and companion app for customers at app.montlor.com (together with the Site, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Services, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the Services or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described here. This policy applies to visitors and customers located in the United States.
Information You Provide
When you contact us, we collect the information you choose to submit. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, the property or area you are interested in, your goals and timeline, and any details or messages you share. If you reach out to us directly, we receive the information contained in that communication. You do not have to provide this information, but we need it to respond to your inquiry and help with your search or sale.
The Montlor Assistant and AI Processing
Parts of the Site offer an assistant and contact tools that help you reach the right person. When you use the assistant or submit a form, we collect the messages and details you provide (such as your name, email, and what you tell us about your situation or question) to understand your request, respond, and route it to the right place.
To power the assistant and to summarize your inquiry for our team, your messages are processed by a third-party artificial intelligence provider on our behalf. This processing is used only to operate the assistant and prepare a short internal summary. Your conversations are not used to serve you ads or to build advertising profiles about you.
Montlor's website and assistant are built and maintained by our technology partner, Timatsu. To deliver, support, secure, and improve these tools, a copy of each inquiry you send through the assistant (your message, the summary, and your contact details) may be securely stored and reviewed by Timatsu under confidentiality obligations, acting as our service provider. Access is limited to those who need it for troubleshooting, quality, and security.
The assistant is for general help and is not a secure channel for sensitive information. Please do not enter financial account numbers, government identifiers, health details, or passwords; for anything sensitive, contact us directly by email.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting and security systems automatically collect limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the Site, such as your device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, general location inferred from your IP address, timestamps, and error and diagnostic logs. We use this information to operate the Site, diagnose problems, and guard against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, we do not build advertising profiles, and the Site does not serve ads.
Client Portal and Accounts
If we set up a client portal account for you, you can sign in at app.montlor.com to view information about your work with us, such as documents, your transaction timeline, updates, and messages. To provide this, we collect your account email and authentication credentials and associate your information with your account. Your content is isolated to your account so other clients cannot access it, and access is limited to you, the authorized members of your household or organization, and our team. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential; contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. The portal and app may rely on the same hosting, database, and email providers described below.
Cookies and Local Storage
The Site uses cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and keep forms working. If we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the Site is used, we configure it to avoid cross-site tracking. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, prepare and discuss proposals and options, schedule and deliver the services you request, communicate with you about your matter, improve and secure the Site, and comply with our legal obligations. We use automatically collected information to operate, maintain, and protect the Site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How We Share Information
We share your information only as needed to run our business and as described here: with service providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, including our website hosting, database, email-delivery, and AI assistant providers, and our technology partner Timatsu, which builds and maintains these tools; with the professionals and partners as necessary to deliver the services you have requested; when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process; to protect the rights, safety, and property of our customers, the public, and Montlor; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will take steps to protect your information.
How We Store and Protect Information
Information submitted through our forms is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in managed systems with access controls that limit access to those who need it. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide services you request, and maintain our business records, and as required for legal, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, or security purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, no opt-out of those specific activities is necessary. You can also ask us to stop sending you non-essential communications at any time. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below; we will verify your request and respond consistent with applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites and services, such as our social media profiles or the Montlor client application. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
